We are pleased to announce that the Smilefest Reunion 2011 will return to beautiful Jomeokee Campground in Pinnacle NC. Located in the foothills of NC, this venue has an incredible view of Pilot Mtn and has been home to many great events and artists.

History of Site/Event: In 1975 bluegrass pioneer and legend, Lester Flatt, bought the property. Flatt held festivals there each summer until 1979, when he sold the property. In the late '80s and '90s, Jomeokee was site to the WTQR radio family reunion, which featured top-line Nashville country acts. In 2006, Ralph McGee began the next era of musical events at the site where Gray McGee began over 40 years ago.

Description of Site/Facility: Beautiful Pilot Mountain is directly behind the stage, which sits on a natural amphitheater. Pilot Mountain State Park is nearby. Jomeokee means “greatguide” or “pilot” from the language of the Saura Indians, who once inhabited this scenic area.

Directions: Very accessible, the campground is located just off Highway 52 in north/central NC, between King and Mt. Airy NC.
Take the Pinnacle exit off Highway 52. From the south, turn left at the exit ramp. You will pass the Marathon Station on the right. The venue entrance is less than 1/2 mile on right, less than 1 mile off the exit ramp from Highway 52.
